An individual may make a report to the university, to law enforcement, to neither, or to both. Campus processes and law enforcement investigations operate independently of one another, although the university may coordinate information with law enforcement.
The AVP for Title IX and Equal Opportunity is available to explain and discuss the university’s complaint process, including the investigation process; available resources, both on and off campus; and supportive measures, which could include accommodations related to academics, housing, or physical safety.
The Office for Title IX and Equal Opportunity directly supports these efforts by responding to new reports, answering questions, and administering the processes. You may also find information in the Nondiscrimination Policy.
